Living in Central VA
One of the benefits of living in the heart of Virginia, is the ability to hop in a car and hike to a mountain top within 1 hr and 45 minutes. My son, Jude and I had a free afternoon a couple of weeks ago, and we did just that. These photos were shot at the top of "Sharp Top" mountain, just along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had a tremendous time. The deer are so tame in that area, you can literally walk right up to them and snap their portrait. As many of you know, Jude is a cancer survivor, among many other challenges he has faced in recent years. As I was going through these edits, I was reminded of how good God has been to us! In all of the difficulties we have faced, He has been so faithful to us... If you are in the middle of a climb, I want to take a moment, and encourage you... Breathe, keep looking to the horizon, and trust in the Most High! You will not be forsaken. Blessings Isaiah 40:31 New Living Translation (NLT) 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
